Recently
on a walk at Bradley Palmer State Park here
in MA, with other NERSFLers I was once again reminded how wonderful it
is to be
out communing with nature and getting exercise, not always easily fit
into a
busy work schedule. I began to look
forward to the exhilaration and camaraderie of the upcoming winter
trips. We will visit our “tried and true”
venues in
VT and NH. Craftsbury Outdoor Center in
VT and the Royalty Inn in NH have repeatedly been able to provide us
with
affordable and comfortable accommodations.
Please join us for a fun and active weekend. Once
again please remember to bring your thoughtful and generous
donations to be used at the one and only fundraiser of the year to be
held at
the Craftsbury event. It’s a perfect
opportunity for “re-gifting” after the holiday season.
Proceeds are greatly appreciated and help to
defray costs of trips. We at NERSFL are
always looking for new ideas and energy and would welcome your
participation on
one or more of our committees. The
committees are as follows: Constitution and Bylaws, Financial
Aid/Grants,
Fundraising, Event and Program Planning, Public Relations, Web Page,
and
Transportation. I’m looking forward to
seeing you all on the trails.
