Scholarships available
Financial
assistance is available for people who cannot afford the full cost of a
trip.
To be considered, one must submit a letter with the application for the
event.
The letter should contain total monthly or yearly income with expenses
and
other information to demonstrate need. Scholarship decisions will be
made no
later than 5 weeks before the event is to take place.
Forms
Enclosed is an
application for you to
complete and send with your payment. Health and Liability forms will be
sent to
you after we receive your enrollment. All forms must be filled out and
signed
before you can participate in the event.
Physical Condition
Anyone in average
physical condition
can expect to complete these events. If we have any questions about
your
ability to participate, we will call and discuss it with you. In
questionable
cases, the decision to participate will lie with the participant and
his or her
physician. Participants must take responsibility for their own health
problems
at these events. Your enjoyment will be enhanced by any measures you
take to improve
your physical fitness and stamina before the event.
Transportation
Transportation will
be available by
carpooling. You will be contacted about a week before an event to make
travel
arrangements. Guides are encouraged to let us know if they are willing
to drive
and how many passengers they can take. All passengers are expected to
contribute towards the cost of gasoline. If you are coming to an event
from out
of town, do not make travel plans on public transportation prior to
7:00 pm on
Sunday. It is very difficult to guarantee a return to transportation
centers
prior to this time without disrupting other participants' plans.
We hope to see you on
one or several of
the summer trips!!
